In the year 2000 Marvel launched Ultimate Spider-Man, a series where the origin of the wall-crawler was modernized in a rather unique alternative universe, very freely adapting the main plot arcs of decades of 616 continuity, getting rid of unnecessary shit and focusing on what is truly remarkable. . As the numbers went by, the subtle initial differences began to become more and more noticeable, moving further and further away from what we knew of the character, and giving us a fresh and unpredictable version, taking risks when defining the stories that many times took a long time to finish digesting, but in the end they ended up turning the series into a milestone by itself, not redefining the character but simply giving us a different version, another Spider-Man, a young, adolescent, impulsive one. , fallible, credible and humane. Little by little, the little brat endeared himself to the public, he had ups and downs in his popularity during the time of a general restructuring of the sub-label where he was not benefited by the incoming creative team, popularity that he would quickly recover and go on to star in cruder stories, important and definitive in the Ultimate universe. He reached a high point of presence and importance, the crest of the wave... and he was killed. That Peter Parker from the Ultimate universe died heroically, being just a teenager who didn't get to live or learn much about life, but he proved to be a true hero, sacrificing his life to save his loved ones. The sing of the fat lady, dude, total glory, applause.

Then Marvel invented Miles Morales, and that was fine, too, until they transported him to 616 and he turned to shit. And between that process it seemed that Peter came back to life, but we knew nothing until now. The Ultimate universe disappeared, but now it seems not, so who knows, anything can happen. The important thing is to highlight the importance that this incarnation of the character had in comics for more than a decade, and that is why we bring you this model that is so special and loved by us at Cacique Comics.

En el año 2000 Marvel lanzó Ultimate Spider-Man, una serie donde se modernizaba el origen del trepamuros en un universo alternativo bastante particular, adaptando muy libremente los arcos argumentales principales de décadas de continuidad 616, deshaciéndose del relleno innecesario y centrándose en lo realmente destacable. Conforme los números se fueron sucediendo, las sutiles diferencias iniciales comenzaron a hacerse cada vez más notorias, alejándose cada vez más de lo que conocíamos del personaje, y brindándonos una versión fresca e impredecible, tomando riesgos a la hora de definir las historias que muchas veces tardaban bastante en terminar de digerirse, pero que al fin y al cabo terminaron convirtiendo a la serie en un hito por sí misma, no redefiniendo al personaje sino lisa y llanamente dándonos una versión diferente, otro Spider-Man, uno joven, adolescente, impulsivo, falible, creíble y humano. El pendejito de a poco se fue haciendo querer por el público, tuvo altibajos en su popularidad durante el tiempo de una reestructuración general del subsello donde no se vio beneficiado por el equipo creativo entrante, popularidad que rápidamente recobraría y pasaría a protagonizar historias más crudas, importantes y definitivas en el universo Ultimate. Llegó a un punto álgido de presencia e importancia, la cresta de la ola... y lo mataron. Ese Peter Parker del universo Ultimate murió de manera heróica, siendo apenas un adolescente que no alcanzó a vivir ni a aprender mucho de la vida, pero demostró ser un héroe con todas las letras, sacrificando su vida por salvar a sus seres queridos. El canto de la gorda, papá, la gloria total, aplausos.

Después Marvel se inventó a Miles Morales, y también anduvo bien, hasta que lo transportaron al 616 y se volvió mierda. Y entre ese trámite parecía que Peter volvía a la vida, pero quedó en la nada hasta ahora. El universo Ultimate desapareció, pero ahora parece que no, así que quién sabe, todo puede pasar. Lo importante es destacar la importancia que tuvo esta encarnación del personaje en los comics durante más de una década, y es por ello que les traemos este modelo tan especial y querido por nosotros en Cacique Comics.

Claro que también existe el Ultimate Spider-Man animado, directamente basado en esta versión, pero con un enfoque mucho más cómico e infantil, cuyo diseño también traeremos más pronto que tarde. De momento, disfruten este Ultimate Spider-Man (Comic).
