Señoras y señores, con ustedes, la más reciente entrega de SOMBRAS, nuestro número 024, que si sacáramos bien la cuenta, contando todos los especiales, vendría a ser más o menos el 030, pero son detallitos menores.

En esta cuarta parte de ALASKA: VACÍOS, Darklight y sus vástagos Overcast y Dark Lightning, con la adhesión de Nathanael, se sumergen en las tinieblas del pasado en busca de respuestas, que es al fin y al cabo lo que fueron a buscar, pero, será lo que descubran lo que estaban esperando? podrán vivir con semejantes revelaciones? habrá existido algún límite ético o moral en lo sucedido en aquella base otrora funcional? Bueno, vemos que las cosas no pueden definirse como buenas o malas cuando se trata de seres irracionales, pero, aquello que quedó librado al azar? aquello a lo que se le permitió suceder?

Esta historia continuará próximamente, pero de momento, tenemos una pildorita bastante difícil de tragar, hay que hacerla pasar, ya cada uno verá cómo. No es nuevo que SOMBRAS muchas veces nos lleva a analizar cuestiones mucho más delicadas y complejas que un par de piñas entre loquitos disfrazados. Esta historia no es fácil, es heavy, se muestran cosas jodidas, porque la vida es así, y nuestras historias, fantasía mediante, no hacen más que replicar aquellos aconteceres, sensaciones y emociones que a veces nos toca enfrentar.

Darklight necesitaba respuestas, respuestas encontró, eran lo que quería? seguramente no, pero a joderse, es la que toca.

Ladies and gentlemen, we give you the latest installment of SOMBRAS, issue #024—which, if we do the math right and count all the specials, would actually be around issue #030, but those are minor details.

In this fourth part of ALASKA: VACÍOS, Darklight and his vástagos Overcast and Dark Lightning, joined by Nathanael, plunge into the shadows of the past in search of answers—which is, after all, what they came looking for. But will what they discover be what they were expecting? Will they be able to live with such revelations? Was there any ethical or moral limit to what occurred in that once-functional base? Well, we see that things cannot simply be defined as good or bad when it comes to irrational beings... but what about that which was left to chance? What about that which was allowed to happen?

This story will continue soon, but for now, we have a rather hard pill to swallow, and we just have to get it down—everyone will have to figure out how. It’s nothing new that SOMBRAS often leads us to analyze far more delicate and complex issues than just a couple of crazy people in costumes throwing punches. This story isn't easy; it's heavy, and it shows messed-up things because that's how life is, and our stories, fantasy aside, do nothing more than replicate the events, sensations, and emotions we sometimes have to face.

Darklight needed answers, and answers he found. Were they what he wanted? Probably not, but tough luck, that's just how it goes.
